Voted the Number 3 Garden in the World by National Geographic and in the Top 10 Houses in the World by Lonely Planet, Powerscourt Estate and Waterfall is a sight to behold.
For Irish residents and those visiting from further afield, this location is a must see on your journey in the East of Ireland. Explore and walk through almost 47 acres of magnificent gardens featuring Ireland’s highest waterfall and a large manor house.
Powerscourt Gardens were developed from 1731 onwards and continues to do so, with the dream of creating a garden which was part of the wider surrounding landscape. Powerscourt Gardens include The Italian Garden, The Dolphin Pond, The Walled Gardens, The Japanese Gardens, Pets Cemetery and Pepperpot Tower, among other features and attractions.
The Waterfall at Powerscourt is Ireland’s highest at 121m and is a short drive from the Main Estate. Set in one of Ireland’s most beautiful parklands at the base of the Wicklow Mountains. An ideal location for picnics during the summer and a perfect opportunity to get the BBQ lit and enjoy the summer months.
